We wanted someone with experience but also someone younger with a modern touch. Amber of Amber McWhorter Photography was recommended to us by one of Nick's groomsmen; she photographed his wedding, and we loved the photos. Amber was wonderful to work with from beginning to end. She was extremely responsive and answered all of our questions. Amber made us feel so relaxed and comfortable during both our engagement session and wedding.

We looked for someone who seemed to enjoy taking pictures, specifically at weddings, and someone who catches the important moments. We looked at editing style, angles, and backgrounds. 

We chose Amber McWhorter Photography because of the work that we had seen on social media and on her website. We liked Amber's editing style and the beautiful backgrounds she had her couples in front of. Amber was able to work quickly in a tight time frame to get all the photos on our list as well as wrangle our groomsmen, which was not an easy task.

When looking for a wedding photographer we really wanted someone who not only took not only beautiful traditional photos but also someone that was willing to step out of the box and have some creativity show. I really wanted timeless photos with a beautiful very natural edit as well.

Amber McWhorter Photography is absolutely incredible! She is one of the most talented photographers I've met, and her editing is extraordinary. We got exactly what we were looking for when we choose Amber to be our photographer. Ben and I did our engagement photo shoot with Amber, and she gave us simple but very needed guidance that made our pictures look so natural and fun. On our wedding day, Amber not only did an amazing job with our photos but she made everybody feel so comfortable. Our wedding actually ended up running very behind, and we had to make some adjustments but Amber made sure that the photos we wanted wouldn't be compromised. Amber blew me away and, I am forever thankful for the beautiful moments she captured so well. Photography has always been very important to me, especially for capturing something as significant as our wedding day. As anybody who has been on the hunt for a wedding photographer knows, there are countless photographers out there to choose from. This was something my husband didn’t too care much about, except for the price, so fortunately this decision was mainly left up to me. One thing we knew we didn’t want for our wedding was traditional, cheesy, posed-looking photos from the wedding. On the other hand, we also didn’t want a photographer who was going to go so artsy with the photos that it distracted from the photo’s natural beauty. We wanted someone who appreciated nature as much as we did and also had a good eye for editing photos without making the pictures look too edited.

It took me a long time and research to find Amber McWhorter Photography, and we are so glad we did. Amber’s photos were beautiful and captured natural beauty, both with the individual subjects and in the outdoor settings. We didn’t see any awkward posing in her photos, and she had a ton of great reviews. We scoped out her packages, felt they were all reasonably priced, and we found a package that had exactly what we were looking for.

Amber was great to work with, very friendly, accommodating, and she made two people who are awkward in front of a camera look like naturals. She did both our engagement sessions and the actual wedding day photos, and we are so in love with them! he went out of her way to make sure she got beautiful shots for us. We had a large crowd, and Amber managed them like a true professional. We were especially impressed on our wedding day how she went above and beyond to get beautiful photos for us, including getting in the middle of tall, bushy grass that was full of stickers. The end results turned out amazing and we are forever grateful.

I actually interviewed several photographers and wanted to make sure we connected to break us out of awkwardness in photos. After I identified some that were fun to connect with, I actually asked Amber McWhorter what I should look for and her answer was brilliant; she said to look at the editing style!

So my mom created several collages of pictures from various photographers and didn't tell me whose pictures were whose; she just asked me to tell her which numbers were my favorite so we could figure out which editing style I was the most drawn to. Of all the collages she sent, I picked Amber McWhorter Photography in each one! Looking back I realized that the style is very bright, fun, bold but whimsical, so, I knew Amber was the right fit for us!

I was in a wedding she shot a month before, so it was awesome to have the other wedding and our family engagement shoot before to get to know each other and be comfortable. Amber knew that my timeline was very important. We chose to do a first look and had a very tight timeline for family pics, etc. She was a real pro in getting all the shots we wanted in a timely manner. Amber is a wizard at taking any environment and finding an amazing place to take unmatched pictures.

In a photographer we looked for someone who would help us capture the different chapters of the day. When you are managing a tight schedule and organizing bridesmaids, groomsmen, family members, etc. you need the right person for the job, and for us, that was Amber.

In addition to being immensely talented and easy to work with, Amber was very responsive throughout the months leading up to the wedding. Nick and I had never had photos taken professionally until our engagement shoot with Amber and she guided us every step of the way without it being uncomfortable. And every direction she gave created these gorgeous angles that I would have never imagined possible.

I looked for someone that I trusted. Amber, the owner of Amber McWhorter Photography, is not only extremely talented, but she’s kind, professional and so fun! When my husband and I were just engaged, we went to Tampa, Florida for a vacation. I had an idea to do our engagement photos while we were there and I came across Amber’s Instagram. Her photos were stunning, but her captions told a story that made her photos even more beautiful. We finally met in person to have our engagement photos taken and, at that moment, we knew we wanted her as our wedding photographer too. She made us feel comfortable and captured our relationship perfectly.

It was important that our photographer not only bring us out of our shells for the portrait shots but also capture our personalities in the moment for wonderful action shots.
