Elegant Affairs by Design’s team is upbeat, highly organized, and detailed oriented. We will communicate with you professionally throughout each step of the planning process.
What Inspired Us to Start Our Business is:
Planning my own wedding back in 2017 to my sweetheart Eric is when I fell in love with the design and details of weddings. I was on a mission to create my fairy tale dream wedding. As the pieces started coming together, I realized that the complete joy I felt being able to bring my vision to life could be shared with so many other brides. I fell in love with designing, the organization, and the ability to create something truly magical.
We Love Being a Part of the Wedding Industry Because:
Growing up, I was a little girl constantly dreaming about her wedding day, planning the horsedrawn carriage entrance and all the pretty storybook details.
My biggest joy comes from knowing I have the ability to curate your love story.
What Makes Our Business Stand Out From Other Vendors Is:
I love connecting with my couples and going above and beyond for them. For me, it’s not about the money. It’s about getting to know my couples on a deeper level. Every single day, I dedicate my work to ensure that every couple is blown away by the details that make their day one-of-a-kind.
One Thing Most Couples Would Be Surprised to Know About Us Is:
I only drink black coffee.
One of Our Non-Wedding Passions Is:
Working out. I always say that I will own a gym in my second life. Working out is my therapy.

Preferred Wedding Planner for the Don Cesar
I’m originally from upstate NY and moved to Florida 8 years ago to be closer to my now hubby. While I miss my family, I love the nice weather down here. I am a dog mom to my Pomeranian Yorkie Lola. She is one spoiled pup. I consider myself both an extrovert and an introvert. Meeting people who inspire me with their spunk and passion is what I live for, however, I definitely need my time to recharge. A few of my favorite things include champagne, reading, lifting weights, and lots of chocolate!

Intimate Timeless Candlelit South Tampa Wedding | The Epicurean
A good attitude! We wanted a planner who was invested in our day as much as we were and could carry out our vision as if it were her own. Also, as much as we didn’t realize in the beginning, having a planner that is flexible and calming while planning a wedding during a global pandemic is vital.
We found our most important vendor on Marry Me Tampa Bay, Elegant Affairs by Design. Riley was wonderful; she endured the ups and downs and trials faced by COVID-19 by our side and acted as a calming force. Nearly a month before the wedding day, we found ourselves on the hunt for a new venue. Riley planned our wedding among a pandemic and kept us calm through the entire process, even when we separated from our original venue less than 30 days until the event and a week later when the caterer backed out, and especially as we were planning thousands of miles away.
Elegant Affairs by Design designed the most elegant and romantic affair that I could have ever imagined. Riley went above and beyond in every aspect and is the most patient, kind, smart, and fun professional and friend.
Classic Blue and White St. Pete Beach Wedding | The Don CeSar
As someone who struggles with anxiety normally, I knew my wedding day was going to be stressful. I wanted a wedding planner to help ease that stress and have control over all the last-minute details so that I didn't need to worry about logistics while also trying to enjoy the day. I wanted a detail-oriented person who I could trust, but also someone who I felt comfortable with, especially if I was feeling stressed.
When I met with Riley, the owner of Elegant Affairs by Design, I knew pretty quickly that she was exactly what I was looking for. She is down-to-earth and sweet as can be while also appearing so put together and capable. Even when chatting with her for the first time, it felt more like I was talking to a friend, and that was exactly what I needed. I knew my wedding would be in excellent hands and that she could see me through the final stages of planning. She was able to tie up all the loose ends and give me advice in the final weeks. She also exceeded my expectations by having a six months-out meeting with me to check on the progress of things, and I always felt that she stayed in the loop and was much more involved than in just the last month
Riley and Danyle had everything covered on the day of the wedding, and I felt completely confident that they would make sure everything went according to plan. They made sure I was able to have a stress-free day and had anything I might need. They even brought an emergency kit filled with every supply you could think of.
Luxurious Pink and Blue Pastel Clearwater Garden Wedding | Belleview Inn
I wanted someone who clicked with my personality and was easy to work with. Riley with Elegant Affairs by Design checked both of those boxes.
Five minutes into my first call with her I knew she would be my planner. She told me she was from Buffalo, N.Y., which is where my husband is from, and right there I told her, ‘I don’t need any time to think It over, you’re my planner! Riley and her team were fantastic to work with and made my wedding day a breeze.

Elegant Pink and Gold Rooftop Wedding | The Don CeSar
The importance and value of a wedding planner cannot be overstated. Hiring a wedding planner who is organized, capable, and tenacious, and shares your vision is one of the most important decisions you will make. The months leading up to the wedding are rife with decision-making and scheduling. If you want to take a step back and truly enjoy the moments leading up to your day, choose the full-service wedding planner! In hindsight, we would have gladly budgeted more money.
Riley with Elegant Affairs by Design has a great aesthetic, and we saw eye to eye on a lot of the design elements. Plus, we had fun while doing it!
