What inspired you to start your business?

My business was inspired by my lifelong love of art, creativity, and documenting the moments that make life meaningful. In 2012, I started photographing families and couples before finding my way into my passions for weddings.

What really inspired me to turn photography into a business was realizing how much I loved capturing connection — the genuine laughter, emotion, little in-between moments, and the relationships that make each story unique. I wanted to create more than just beautiful images; I wanted to give people photographs that would take them back to how they felt in that exact moment.

Over the years, photography has become a way for me to combine my love of art with my love of people, travel, and storytelling. I feel incredibly lucky that what started as a creative passion has grown into a business where I get to document some of the most meaningful moments in people’s lives.

What makes your business stand out from others in your category?

What makes me stand out is my ability to blend a documentary, candid approach with gentle guidance when needed. I want my clients to feel comfortable, have fun, and genuinely be themselves rather than feel like they’re constantly posing. I focus on the little in-between moments, real connection, and the details that make each story unique—while still creating beautiful, timeless images.

Describe your ideal client:

My ideal client is a fun, loving, genuine couple who values connection, embraces the moment, and trusts me to document their day authentically. I love working with couples who want their wedding photography to feel relaxed and natural while still creating beautiful, timeless images. Together, we’re preserving the laughter, love, and little in-between moments that will allow them to relive their day and the memories they created for years to come.

What is something vendors would be surprised to know about you?

Funny enough, while I absolutely love photographing weddings, I never wanted a traditional wedding of my own. I skipped the dress shopping, bought my dress online, packed it up, and took it to Hawaii. My husband and I decided to keep things simple and meaningful and just eloped. It was so perfectly us.

Fun facts:

I got married in Kauai; I have a 4 year old daughter and two dogs; I love traveling, boating + fishing, coffee, craft beer, italian food, etc.

Favorite place to meet with other vendors:

A local coffee shop or cozy wine bar—somewhere relaxed where we can sip, chat, and connect.

Favorite gift to receive from another vendor:

I love thoughtful, local, or handmade goodies—anything that feels personal and supports a small business. And a sweet treat is never a bad idea either.

Is there any additional information you would like to share?

I LOVE playing on natural lighting and the beauty that mother nature provides us. I am especially fond of getting the sunshine perfectly in photos to highlighting the warm love of my couples.
