Ansley and Chase’s whimsical Lakeland wedding perfectly nailed a rustic, vintage theme with antique oil lamps and gorgeous handmade signage. With a late night treat of Italian ice and precious details that incorporated their love for family, the bride and groom cherished every minute of their special day.
“Our theme was very vintage whimsical,” the bride shared. “I chose my theme based on oil lamps. It sounds strange, but I knew I wanted them to be the focal point of my centerpiece. I had so much fun hunting for them, and then getting to see them light up the room was perfect.”

From day one the bride knew she needed a Lakeland wedding planner who was experienced and confident in capturing her vision.
“I chose Love Lee Lane because I had been to several weddings that Ashley planned and coordinated. Every wedding I attended that Love Lee Lane was a part of was beautiful and went flawlessly. I knew that I wanted them to help plan and coordinate my special day,” the bride gushed. “They went above and beyond for our celebration and ensured everything went exactly according to plan. Ashley made sure that everything was done the way I wanted and that the vendors understood the aesthetic I was going for. She always listened to me and made sure everything went smoothly without me ever having to say a word! I would recommend that every bride invests in a wedding planner that will advocate for you throughout the process as Love Lee Lane did for me.”

As the bride browsed Marry Me Tampa Bay for inspiration and vendors, she discovered a wedding decor and rental company that had everything she was looking for in one place.
“I found A Chair Affair through Marry Me Tampa Bay. They were very familiar with my venue and had the exact chairs I wanted and enough of them for my large wedding,” the bride shared. “I ended up renting two full sets of chairs, 360 chairs in total, one set for the ceremony and another for the reception. I also rented church pews for my family to sit in during the ceremony. These pews were the perfect touch!”

Reminiscing on their special day, the bride and groom loved singing along to Journey and being surrounded by friends and family.
“At the end of the night, our DJ had everyone make a circle around us and then he played Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey. Everyone danced around us and sang as loud as they could. It was truly the most perfect way to end our night,” Ansley reminisced. “Every time I hear that song now I can’t help but smile and think about that precious memory.”
What did you look for in a wedding planner?
I knew I wanted a wedding planner from day one. My parents and I all agreed we wanted someone who would deal with everything the day of so that my parents and I could enjoy every moment and not have to stress about coordinating with vendors or dropping things off at the venue, etc. We also agreed that we wanted someone who was familiar with vendors so that they could point us in the right direction of who to use. Finally, we wanted a wedding planner who would listen and advocate for the things that were important to me.

The Proposal:
My husband, Chase, and I had been dating since our junior year of high school. I went away to the University of Florida for college, and Chase went to the University of South Florida; we spent most of our weekends traveling back and forth to visit each other. At the time, Chase had recently graduated from USF College of Engineering, and I was soon to graduate my degree in nursing. I came home one weekend for my typical visit, and Chase had told me all week how he wanted to take our dog to the Davis Island Dog Beach, then eat lunch out there on the water, where my dad always took me on daddy-daughter dates growing up.
We let our dog, Cooper, play for a little while then went over to eat our Publix subs on the sea wall, like my dad and I had done many times before. Chase said he had to run back to the truck for Gatorades and Cooper went with him. When they were coming back, Chase told me to grab Cooper so he didn’t run off. When I turned around I saw a sign attached to Cooper that said, “Look at my daddy.” When I looked at Chase he was down on one knee. It was absolutely perfect.
How would you describe your theme/wedding design inspiration?
Vintage whimsical. I chose my theme based on oil lamps. It sounds strange, but I knew I wanted oil lamps to be the focal point of my centerpiece. I had so much fun hunting for them, and then getting to see them light up the room was perfect.
What were your colors?
Dusty blue was our main color with navy, white, wood grain, and gold accents. I chose these colors because I knew I wanted a lot of neutrals, hence the white and woodgrain, but felt I needed a color that would help to make everything pop. The dusty blue was perfect because it was not overly bright, and it accented the neutral colors well.
What did you look for in a wedding rental company?
I was looking for chairs, lots of them, linens, and some décor for the centerpieces and throughout the reception.
