Nicole looked at a lot of hair and makeup artists, at least a dozen. It was very important to her that the artist she went with could demonstrate a lot of skill with Hollywood waves and glam makeup.

Femme Akoi is always one of my go-to hair and makeup companies, and Nicole fell in love with the owner Christine. Christine really understood Nicole’s vision and perfectly executed the look at the trial. Nicole also had a large list of folks needing hair and makeup services, approximately 20, so working with a company that could take on a group that size was a deciding as well.

Femme Akoi was a well-oiled machine and had everyone looking flawless and completely finished with services ahead of schedule.

My makeup inspiration was colors I knew that were flattering on me and would go with the dress. I gave the makeup artist a lot of freedom to do what she thought.

I chose Femme Akoi Beauty Studio because I liked a lot of what I saw on their website and Instagram. I was thrilled. I felt beautiful and my bridesmaids also looked beautiful.

My hair inspiration for my wedding was classy and elegant. I always knew I wanted my hair to be all down and styled into big waves/curls. To finish off the look, I wanted a custom crystal headpiece that laid perfectly on top of my head and over my hair.

Femme Akoi is also listed on Marry Me Tampa Bay as one of the best hairstylists in the Tampa area, which assured me they were the ones for the job. Several of my friends have also hired them as the hairstylists for their weddings, and I’ve always loved the end results they produce.

I also love that Femme Akoi consists of a large team of women so there are plenty of different stylists to choose from. Grissel and Christine were the two stylists that did the hair for me, and my bridal party, and everyone’s hair came out perfect.

To continue with our romantic and classic style the inspiration was whimsical and flowing. We all went with long soft curls and I had pearls and rhinestones in my hair to complement the look.

When I say I spent hours researching vendors, I was not exaggerating. I spoke with many artists and companies, checked out their social media accounts for real-life examples of their recent work, and researched the type of products they used.

Femme Akoi Beauty Studio had many artists and all of their artists created makeup and hair that looks wonderfully together. As a bride on a schedule, I wanted to be able to find a makeup artist that could not only do both but do them equally as well. Maddy did just that!

I wanted a natural glam look.

Christine, who owns Femme Akoi, has been a friend of mine for years as we used to work together. I always knew when I got married I would use her for my special day.
