We Love Weddings Because…
The couples! You know that feeling when you give someone a gift and they open it with pure excitement: surprised, grateful, completely lit up? That’s what this work feels like to me, it’s my high …and my why.
Seeing the calm nerves moments before the bride walks down the aisle or watching their partner from afar, light up when they finally see their college friend, after a couple years. THOSE MOMENTS.
Our Wedding Style
Personality-driven design. I definitely gravitate towards romantic, moody with movement and texture but more importantly I love designing weddings with a fresh-concept while also highlighting the couple, most.
Nothing is chosen by accident. Every recommendation, timeline, design decision, and detail serves a purpose.

Fun! Adventurous, collaborative and committed to creating an elevated experience. We are always up for bringing any idea to life, even if it’s unexpected or untraditional.
Most importantly, we care deeply about our couples and want them to feel supported throughout the entire process – which allows us to truly get to know you both and your relationship.
What Inspired Us to Start Our Business
Coming from the events world the last (10) years, gemma&co lived in my head as a thought-bubble well before it came alive. I actually had the name picked out (which is a nod to my beloved, former-stray cat) a couple years prior.
Everyone would always urge me to “just start your own business” but I never felt the time was truly right. Well first let me tell you, there never is a “right” time. JUST DO IT.
My friend Kaleigh hired me to plan her wedding on the side of me working full time. Totally game, obviously. In this mist of planning, the venue had asked me for my certificate of insurance, which I didn’t have at the time. I stood at a crossroads of either: waive the white-flag and she hire another planner or finallllly launch my business – and the rest is history!

I am originally from New Jersey and moved to Tampa in 2012. I went to The University of Tampa and that’s where my love of weddings and events began. Allll the way back to when I started my career as a lil’ intern on the events team at The Florida Aquarium.
One thing most couples would be surprised to know is:
I use to foster dogs, mostly puppies. You’re probably wondering how did I not keep them all but getting them adopted out to families was the greater gift. To follow, it allowed me to foster additional sets of puppies. I did end up formally adopting my last foster, Mac. He’s the sweetest pitbull with the biggest personality, who also happens to love the beach.
Non-wedding Passions:
I traveled to Dubai solo! I am absolutely obsessed with traveling and a true thrill-seeker at that. I have been to 25+ countries and have recently been on a mission to see all 7 World Wonders. I am on #3!
When I’m not on a flight (or jumping out of one skydiving), you can find me in a pilates class or watching the sunset from a rooftop bar – with espressotini’ in hand.
