“Boho-Ho-Ho” Tampa Heights Christmas Wedding | Rialto Theatre

Jordan and Jordan’s Tampa Heights wedding featured a bohemian twist on a holiday motif, with shades of reds, greens, and golds, and a combination of traditional wintery elements and unexpected details.

“Our wedding was Christmas-themed with a hint of boho. I have always wanted a winter wedding, and who doesn’t love Christmas?” the bride gushed. “Being a florist, I have seen so many different inspiration boards and styles, but I hadn’t seen someone take on this theme the direction I had always envisioned. We went back and forth on a couple of different styles but always came back to Christmas. My colors were completely based on my flower choices and what was in season at that time of year. I had a mix of all the Christmas greens, deep plum, reds, toffee colors.”

Although the bride is a wedding florist herself, she still utilized the Marry Me Tampa Bay while planning their 170 guest event, which took place last holiday season.

“I love searching through the inspiration and advice you give to all of us vendors and brides,” Jordan shared.

The Dade City couple looked for a wedding photography team who would capture the genuine style and feel of their unique celebration. They turned to Dewitt for Love, given their reputation and experience working together at past events.

“We wanted someone who could capture all the details as well as our family. Dewitt for Love’s photography style always reflects true colors, which as a florist is very important to me,” the bride revealed. Shannon and Brandon are some of the most genuine and talented people I have gotten the chance to work with. They have photographed weddings I have designed for in the past and consistently blow me away with their talent.”

The bride channeled her “Bo-Ho-Ho” style throughout her ceremony and reception, with fresh details that spoke to the Christmas season as well as her professional love of flora. She says those unique touches were what made their event so different and so special.

“I think the details made it unique. The robe I got ready in was made from my mom’s wedding dress. My bridesmaids wore their flowers instead of carrying bouquets. Our escort card display was a fireplace. We brought in 15 Christmas trees to create the backdrop. It was perfect.” Jordan beamed. “My bouquet was a complete surprise from my team. I cried.”

According to the bride, there were several memorable moments that stood out from the entire day, all of which were centered around the special people in her life.

“Seeing our sweet baby boy in his little velvet suit, walking down the aisle and seeing my husband, and the moment we said ‘I do,’ [were the most memorable] because I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend. After the ceremony when it was finally done, and we could relax and party with our people [was also memorable].”

What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Live in the moment, don’t stress the small details; the only thing that matters is the person at the end of the aisle waiting for you.
