Destination Clearwater Beach Wedding | Hilton Clearwater Beach Wedding
Molly and Adam’s sophisticated and stylish destination Clearwater Beach wedding featured an outdoor beachfront ceremony and reception with colors of blush, navy and gold.
“We chose Clearwater because we had been traveling there for years.” the Pittsburgh bride explained. “Adam’s family has a condo on Sand Key, and it’s been our home away from home since we first started dating. We loved the area, and wanted to share our little slice of paradise with our guests!”

The Pennsylvania couple searched for a Clearwater Beach wedding venue that would offer multiple spaces, both indoor and out .
“We definitely wanted a beach ceremony, and we wanted our guests to have an opportunity to enjoy the wonderful Florida surroundings that Clearwater has to offer. The Hilton Clearwater Beach was our perfect venue in every way. We could have the beach ceremony that we dreamed of, and the Hilton’s Sandpiper Deck was a beautiful blank slate that we could decorate to suit our vision,” Molly shared. “Our Events Coordinator, Courtney Owens, was wonderful to work with! We received compliments for weeks afterward from our guests. The food, hospitality, coordination, and support was top notch.”
To continue the party after the reception came to a close, Molly and Adam gathered their closest friends outdoors and enjoyed cigars freshly rolled by Delite Entertainment underneath the evening sky.
“We were in no rush to shut down the party, and the Hilton was gracious enough to let us have another hour at the lobby bar. Afterward, we all gathered around the fire pits outside and enjoyed each others company and the cigars provided by the cigar roller at our cocktail hour,” the bride explained. “It was perfect ending to a perfect evening.”
Looking back, the bride shared that one of her cherished moments occurred during the wedding reception.
“Our first dance together and our dances with our parents were extremely memorable. The music selection was perfect for each occasion,” Molly reminisced.
How would you describe your theme?
We didn’t have a theme, but we wanted our wedding to be romantic and elegant, while still exuding a beachy feel. We wanted it to be sophisticated and stylish, but not overly formal.
What were your colors?
Blush with navy and gold accents. We felt that they complemented our desired atmosphere of romance and beach elegance.
The Proposal:
Adam told me he wanted to take me out to dinner after returning from a work trip. After he picked me up, he explained that he had forgotten his wallet (which is so typical!) and had to return home to pick it up. When we pulled into his driveway, our family and friends were waiting with lit candles. We walked inside, and the house was beautifully decorated. He proposed when I walked into the door, and we celebrated the rest of the evening!
What did you look for in a wedding venue?
We definitely wanted a beach ceremony, and we wanted our guests to have an opportunity to enjoy the wonderful Florida surroundings that Clearwater has to offer. It was important to us that our guests would not be confined in a closed reception hall when we had such a wonderful backdrop right outside.
The Hilton Clearwater Beach was our perfect venue in every way. We could have the beach ceremony that we dreamed of, and the Hilton’s Sandpiper Deck was a beautiful blank slate that we could decorate to suit our vision. The covered deck also offered us some peace-of-mind in the event of rain. Thankfully, we had beautiful weather, and the Hilton’s service was impeccable. Our Events Coordinator, Courtney Owens, was wonderful to work with! We received compliments for weeks afterward from our guests. The food, hospitality, coordination, and support was top notch.
What did you look for in a wedding DJ?
We wanted a DJ who could read the energy of a crowd and play the perfect song to keep people dancing throughout the evening.
Grant Hemond & Associates has a very positive reputation and was very highly regarded in virtually every Tampa/Clearwater wedding publication we could get our hands on. Some of our guests told us Michael Planas was the best DJ of any wedding they had ever been to. The dance floor was packed the entire night!
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
The to-do lists may seem overwhelming, but try to enjoy the process. The time that you are engaged and planning a wedding goes by so quickly. Utilize the wedding planning process to grow as a couple and learn even more about one another. We had an absolute blast planning our wedding together and I wish I could go back and do it again!
