Ashleigh and Michael’s festive Safety Harbor wedding combined their love for all things Disney with romantic winter inspired details creating a charming holiday celebration. Selecting a burgundy and rose gold color palette, the bride and groom kept their winter theme alive with miniature Christmas trees centerpieces.
“Our wedding was just before Christmas, so we really wanted to nail our vision: romantic meets Christmas wonderland,” the bride explained. “Burgundy has always been one of my favorite colors. It worked perfectly that we ended up having a winter wedding because both of our colors fit the season in an elegant charming way.”

Searching for a Tampa Bay wedding ceremony venue that embodied a “fairytale vibe,” Ashleigh selected Harborside Chapel for its gorgeous interior filled with natural light and beautiful chandeliers.
“Harborside Chapel fit my vision perfectly. I was looking for a pure white chapel that I could turn into the Christmas wonderland I was dreaming of, and I found it!” the bride gushed. “I think I also was drawn to it because the chapel reminded me of the magical wedding pavilion at Disney World. Everyone at Harborside was so helpful and flexible throughout the entire planning process. They helped my special day go perfectly and I couldn’t be more thankful!”

After discovering Truly Forever Bridal at a bridal show, the bride immediately booked and found her dream gown.
“I absolutely loved the selection of dresses at the show, so I felt like I would be able to find just the type of dress I was looking for at their boutique,” the bride beamed. “The dress I chose was exactly what I was looking for, and I couldn’t have felt more like a princess. Wanting a makeup and hair stylist that could help Ashleigh create a romantic bohemian look, she turned to Destiny and Light Hair and Makeup Group.
“I hired Destiny and Light Hair and Makeup based off all of the amazing things I heard about them. Amanda did my hair and makeup and did an amazing job. Even though we had a 5 a.m. start time, she really helped me relax and enjoy the morning of my wedding instead of stress,” the bride shared. “Destiny and Light had me feeling so beautiful like a princess the entire day! My artist was so sweet and really made sure I looked exactly like I had pictured myself.”

Looking back on their blissful day, the bride reminisced of walking down the aisle with her dad and seeing her groom at the end of the altar.
“The most memorable moment for me was when the doors opened to the chapel, and I walked down the aisle with my dad. It was such a special moment when I saw Michael and everyone we love there. I was so overwhelmed with love that I began crying instantly. It truly was beautiful,” the bride explained.

I don’t wear makeup very often, so I wanted something that made my eyes pop and made my skin look smooth and clear. I was inspired by boho looks on Pinterest. I have long, thick hair, so I wanted something that highlighted that as well.

The Proposal:
I am a huge Disney fan! I absolutely love all things Disney and go to the parks every month. Michael is always so amazing and takes me whenever I want, so he proposed right in front of Cinderella’s Castle! It was perfect!
How would you describe your theme?
The theme I went for was romantic meets Christmas wonderland. Our wedding was just before Christmas, so we really wanted to nail our vision.
What were your colors?
Burgundy and rose gold. Burgundy has always been one of my favorite colors, and the wedding was around Christmas, so the color fit in perfectly! I chose rose gold because the engagement ring Michael designed for me rose gold, and I think the color is absolutely beautiful!
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Enjoy every moment of the planning process! It may seem overwhelming, but it will all be worth it. Don’t let others dictate how your wedding should be; you do you!
