Christina and Brandon’s waterfront Tampa wedding was a magical wedding day filled with glamour and color. The winter wedding featured shades of pinks and purples that popped against the crisp white elements while crystal embellishments were included in all of the details from the floral centerpieces to the bride’s dress.
“Our wedding theme was glitz and glam with lots of sparkles and bling. The theme totally depicts everything I love and all I have dreamt of when I envisioned my fairytale wedding,” the bride gushed. “Our colors were fuchsia, hot pink, lavender, purple, white, and silver with lots of sparkles incorporated throughout.”
Once the Spring Hill bride found her reception space, she relied on a wedding planner to help coordinate all the moving parts of the 68-guest wedding. Special Moments Event Planning’s expertise made the entire process effortless for the couple and created a stress-free experience.
“My intention was to plan the entire wedding by myself, but being new to Tampa, I contacted Tammy from Special Moments Event Planning who was referred by my venue to help me along the way and more so the day of,” the bride explained. “I’m so happy I did because seeing everything I purchased and everything I discussed with her came together in such a magical way. Tammy made sure everyone followed a precise timeline which made things flow smoothly.”
The bride and groom selected a wedding photographer who could capture the vibrancy of the details while documenting the genuine moments of the day. They selected Kristen Marie Photography for her superior reputation and ability to help them feel natural and glamourous in front of the camera.
“We chose Kristen Marie Photography due to the connection we had with her from the beginning,” Christina beamed. “I feel it’s important to feel comfortable with the person who is taking pictures of some of the most intimate and special moments of your big day.”
The color story was an essential part of the entire wedding aesthetic, and Christina chose fuchsia for the bridesmaid dresses, which would pop against her crystal-embellished a-line wedding dress. Bella Bridesmaids Tampa‘s showroom offered a wide range of variety and options.
“I wanted a bright shade of fuchsia that wasn’t too purple and had almost a hot pink hue to it, something bright, happy, and vibrant to match our personalities. The bridesmaid dresses were the exact color I envisioned but could not find,” the bride shared. “Upon speaking to Tameka from Bella Bridesmaids Tampa, she instantly heard my vision and truly believed she had a color matching that vision. As soon as I walked through the door at Bellas, I knew this was the color I’d been dreaming of! It was a gorgeous fluid satin that grabbed the perfect shade of fuchsia.”
The reception featured gorgeous white draping, acrylic chiavari chairs, and vibrant florals that transformed the space into a bling-worthy ballroom, while mirrored chargers from A Chair Affair added texture and glamour to the tablescape.
As the bride reminisced on all of her favorite memories from the wedding, it was a surprise performance from her groom that captured her heart all over again.
“There were so many memorable moments throughout our wedding day, but when my husband surprised me by singing to me, it was truly a special moment,” the bride reminisced.

The Proposal:
Our proposal was very emotional, intimate, and special. Brandon has been my best friend for 19 years prior to us getting married. We were blessed with the opportunity to reunite at a perfect time in our lives. He proposed six months after we were officially together on Christmas, which was also six months after my dad passed whom I cared for.
He gifted me a Tiffany bracelet my dad was going to give me before he passed and never had the opportunity. My husband had the bracelet engraved with a butterfly to signify my dad. That moment was very emotional for me within itself, but as I turned back around sobbing, Brandon was on one knee proposing. He later explained that even though he was going to wait for New Year’s to propose, he wanted to create a new memory of happiness on the first Christmas without my dad.

What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Learn to be very specific in what you want because it is your day and your vision. A piece of advice that was given to me was not to be afraid to hurt feelings by vocalizing what you do and do not want and or like. You are paying for a service, so make sure you choose vendors that are understanding of your vision along with being patient and kind. It truly makes all the difference.
The process is stressful enough, so having a great team of chosen professionals goes a long way. Add your special touches they will mean so much. My greatest piece of advice would have to be even though things will go wrong (and they will), realize that in the end, all that matters is the love you both share. Make sure you work well with the vendors you choose, and they understand your vision. For a bride who is detail-oriented and designs her wedding primarily on her own, hiring a wedding planner for the month of is more than sufficient for any last-minute assistance, ideas, and discussing day of specifics.
