Olivia and Dany’s elegant downtown Tampa wedding featured gorgeous lavender and blush details, a sparkler sendoff, and a breathtaking cake that truly embodied the happy couple to be.
“We didn’t really have a theme,” the bride confessed. “I guess you could say we were the theme. Our day was a reflection of all the things we loved from ice cream to the Sinatra cocktail singer to Jenga. It was really about the little things that made everything special to us.”
Searching for a wedding venue that would provide bright, natural light and tall ceilings, the bride and groom chose The Vault, in the heart of downtown Tampa.
“The Vault was so luxurious and grand. It was lit up and not dark or old feeling at all,” the bride said. “We knew from the moment we saw the venue that we wanted to highlight all of its the beauty, and not cover it up with too many drapes and add-ins.”

It was important to Olivia and Dany to find a wedding photographer who understood and complemented their intimate style and feel.
“We worked with Brandi Image Photography around our engagement on an absolute whim. We immediately booked her for the wedding after we met,” the bride beamed. “She was actually the first vendor we had finalized from our entire wedding. We’re intimate, and Brandi knows that and was able to really capture that feeling in the photos.”

As the pieces fell together, the couple chose the Artistic Whisk to create a showstopping six-layer wedding cake with a world map and unique cutouts.
“Jovana is so out of the world, creative,” the bride gushed. “She really gets to know you and draws up ideas of what she thinks embodies your personality.”

The Proposal:
I guess you could say Dany got me really good because he kept the whole proposal under wraps from most of my friends and family until the very last minute so no one would ruin it.
Two nights before the proposal on Thanksgiving Day, Dany broke the news to my parents that he was going to propose just two days later. He officially asked my parents for their blessings and my hand in marriage around three to four months prior to this. We all agreed that spring would be a great time for an engagement, but little did I know it was coming even sooner!
The following day we were excited to head to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure with some of our family. We’re huge Harry Potter fans, so we had a blast checking everything out. The day of the proposal, I woke up at my friend Mera’s house and got a phone call from my mom insisting we go to the mall to get some new dresses. All I could wonder is why am I going to buy new dresses. In the meantime, Dany finally tells all my friends that there’s actually no dinner party, it’s a proposal. A few of my friends that had made the trip had a heads up, but other than that everyone was still clueless.
I guess you could say the rest is all one big blur of happy tears. I just remember falling to my knees as soon as I saw Dany down on his.
