Alison and Brendan’s outdoor Bradenton wedding combined garden-inspired flora with a wintery palette of deep greens and moody reds accented with elegant gold details. The bride and groom exchanged vows with a pristine lawn ceremony before their ballroom reception filled with romantic candlelight.
“I would describe my wedding design inspiration as rustic elegance with a fairytale feeling. I wanted this to be a night to remember and have always wanted to have that elegant feeling without being too over the top,” the bride shared. “The colors were emerald green and mauve with hints of gold. I absolutely love these colors together and knew I wanted a darker color palette with having a wedding in December.”
The Tampa couple sought a wedding venue with convenient on-site lodging and a picturesque outdoor setting with a private location for their 104-guest event. The Concession Golf Club wowed them upon their first visit with its charming exterior and inclusive services.
“I wanted a venue that was secluded for a more intimate feeling and that had ‘old southern charm’ without having to travel out of state. We chose The Concession Golf Club because of how exquisite and beautiful the architecture of the country club was. It is also extremely quiet and secluded, which just makes it all the more magical,” Alison raved. “Concession had on-site housing for the bridal party, which was a major plus as well. For this venue being new to the wedding world, they did an amazing job of making our dream wedding become a reality.”
The bride worked closely with her wedding planner, Kelsey DiMisa, at Parties A’La Carte, who managed the entire planning process with a seamless and stress-free approach while also flawlessly coordinating the complete wedding day. Thanks to their experienced team’s organization, creativity, and attention to detail, the final result was everything the bride had envisioned.
“I wanted a wedding planner who was relatable, easy to work with, detail-oriented, and who would listen to what my inspiration was and be able to give input and enhance it. Parties A’La Carte was a dream to work with, and they did an amazing job. From start to finish, it was perfect, thanks to them. They made the whole planning process through execution easy and stress-free,” Alison gushed.
“There were so many beautiful details on Alison and Brendan’s wedding day, but the color palette was one of my favorite elements. The velvet deep green linens paired with gold accents brought a sense of luxury to the design. The light pink, white, and deep purple florals brought a beautiful contrast to each setting that we absolutely adored!” wedding planner Kelsey added. “The Concession Golf Club is such a beautiful venue! We love working here because it offers many versatile spaces! Each space acts as a perfect canvas, and the property has so may scenic locations to take wedding portraits.”
Alison recognized the important role that flowers would play in the execution of her wedding vision and turned to the creative team at Bruce Wayne Florals to transform the event spaces and translate her wedding style through the use of beautiful blooms.
“My floral inspiration was simple: greenery with hints of whites, pinks, and purples to complement my color palette. I saw the work Bruce Wayne Florals has done in the past and knew they wouldn’t disappoint,” the bride articulated. “I absolutely was in awe at what they did, from the aisle to decorating the pergola where we were married to the beautiful table arrangements. The most important piece, though, was my bouquet. I wish it could have stayed that perfect forever, but I managed to have the florals preserved in a shadow box; such a special memory.”
Although the entire celebration was truly unforgettable, it was an intimate moment between the bride and groom that is forever etched in Alison’s memory.
“The entire day was magical, and I truly loved every minute of our wedding day, but one particular moment that was extremely special to me was having a last dance privately right before our sparkler send-off,” the bride reminisced. “It was nice just having that intimate moment as husband and wife alone on the dance floor.”
Where did you host your bachelorette party?
Chicago. It was extremely easy for all of my girls to fly into, and it is such a fun city. Not many people have bachelorette parties there, and it was so nice getting out and exploring the town.
The Proposal:
We had a reservation at Meat Market for our seven-year anniversary, and it was such a great night. Brendan didn’t necessarily think he was going to propose on this day but if the night went well then he was going to do it. So he secretly brought the ring with him just in case.
While sitting at the table, he had finally gotten a moment alone with the waitress to ask her to video/take pictures because he was going to propose. Once I came back to the table, he asked me if I wanted to take a picture outside since it was our anniversary. Once we got to the spot for pictures and took a few, he then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!
