Madison and Kyle's downtown St. Pete wedding featured an elegant, shabby-chic garden inspired theme and ivory, blush, gold and navy blue color palette.
“I loved our colors from the beginning,” Madison gushed. “I am not a super flashy person; I like subtle calming colors. We had light pink dresses for the girls and blue suits for the guys.”
The Tampa couple searched for a downtown St. Pete wedding venue that could be enjoyed by their guests throughout their wedding weekend. Featuring a water view and the perfect cocktail hour space, they selected The Birchwood .
“We chose St. Pete because we like the ambiance, water and trendiness of the area. We liked that all of our guests could stay close by and walk everywhere throughout the weekend,” the bride explained. “The price at The Birchwood was much better compared to a lot of other hotels. The food was very good, the open bar was a fair price and the ballroom with the balcony off of it, you can't beat it!”
Reminiscing on their wedding day, Madison shared that their ceremony, personalized vows and dancing were some of her favorite memories.
“We both have the same taste, which made it easy when planning the wedding. Kyle was helpful throughout the entire process and made it a lot easier when making decisions since we went over it together to make sure both our personalities were put into the wedding,” the bride shared.
How would you describe your theme?
Vintage, shabby, garden.
What were your colors?

The Proposal:
Kyle and I were getting ready for his President's Club trip to Maui, Hawaii and his sister's graduation was coming up the month after. He said we need to go to Hyde Park to get her a graduation gift, so we both went in gym clothes; I had no idea it was happening that night. As I was in Francesca's, Kyle went out and sat by the pond and said he needed to go. I started walking in front of him, and then he grabbed my hand and turned me around, and he was on one knee in front of the fountain. He had a table ready at Timpano's, and all the staff there knew about the proposal and congratulated us when we walked in and took good care of us that night!
What did you look for in a wedding venue?
We looked for a venue where you could do a cocktail hour separate from the reception, somewhat of a water view, newer, walking distance to hotels and where drinks and food was catered from within.
