Kathleen and Jerahmeel’s tropical St. Pete Beach wedding incorporated gold geometric centerpieces and vibrant lush florals for a rustic celebration overflowing with gorgeous Florida charm.
“At the time we were planning our wedding, I was stationed in Oklahoma. We chose Tampa because we wanted a beach wedding and because it holds a special place in our hearts,” the bride gushed. “With both of us being stationed there and always choosing St. Pete as a place to vacation, we knew it was the perfect place to get married.”

Envisioning the perfect Florida wedding, the couple searched for a St. Pete Beach wedding venue with gorgeous views of the Gulf and a place for both their ceremony and reception.
“As soon as we walked into the Postcard Inn on the Beach, we looked at each other and knew it was the one. We both had that gut feeling,” Kathleen beamed. “The place fit our age, and it was just so retro and colorful! The entire staff was amazing, and they constantly checked to make sure everything was going according to the timeline. From start to finish the Postcard Inn made sure our day was exactly how we imagined it.”

With their upbeat personalities and mission to give their 50 guests a night they’d never forget, Kathleen and Jerahmeel stopped at nothing to deliver the fun.
“There were so many personal details we added in to give our wedding day that one-of-a-kind feel,” the bride beamed. “From our polaroid guest book to our mouthwatering dessert spread, each element tied together with our tropical beach celebration perfectly.”
Cherishing every magical moment from their Florida beach wedding, the couple will never forget how special it was to have all of their friends and family together.
“What made our wedding unique was the opportunity to have so many people we care about all in the same location together. Each of our guests was a part of making the beginning of our new chapter unforgettable,” the bride reminisced.
The Proposal:
The proposal was simply amazing. We had been together for about five years when Jerahmeel popped the question. We had been talking about getting married for a while when we decided to go ring shopping! Yes, we looked for the ring together, and the experience was the best. I didn’t know when he was going to propose, but when we went on a short vacation to Guam in December 2017, he popped the question! He wanted it to be simple, but special at the same time. Jerahmeel made sure that my family was there to witness it. Since I’m so close to my siblings, he made sure they were all involved. He was playing basketball with my younger brother on our court outside the house, and he pretended to have hurt himself, and when they called me to check on him he got down on one knee and the rest is history!
What was your wedding design inspiration?
Our wedding didn’t really have a theme. All I really wanted was flowers everywhere! I love florals!
What were your colors?
Blush and burgundy. The colors just went perfectly together!
What did you look for in a wedding venue?
We didn’t really have an exact vision when it came to choosing a venue. We really just wanted a location by the beach and somewhere we could hold both the ceremony and reception together.
