Taylor and John’s Clearwater wedding was a wonderland of vibrant colors mixed with classic black and white stripes, inspired by an iconic fashion designer.
“Our inspiration was Kate Spade with a twist! The gold accents and pops of hot pink and orange added a fun twist to the traditional black and white stripes,” the bride beamed. “We wanted something classic, with a bright and fun twist that was sure to stand out.”

With a bold look in place, the Tallahassee couple knew that they needed a creative event team to execute it. Taylor and John turned to luxury wedding planner Parties A’La Carte to make their vision a reality.
“It was important to me that my mom and I were able to relax and enjoy the day stress-free, so I knew a wedding planner was integral. We were looking for someone who was organized, creative, detail-oriented, and reliable,” the bride explained. “We could not have been happier working with Parties A’La Carte! Every detail of the day was executed flawlessly, but the best thing about working with Jessica was that she had our best interests as the bride and groom at heart. She went above and beyond to make sure the day was perfect and that John and I were happy.”

The customized monogram was a statement piece for this brightly colored wedding, and the theme started with the guests’ first impression: the invitation. Stationery designer URBANcoast created a cohesive look with paper goods throughout the wedding day.
“I really enjoyed designing our invitations, wedding programs, and much more with Soosie and Josh at URBANcoast,” the bride gushed.

Taylor and her mom worked together to wow their guests with unique design projects.
“My mother is incredibly talented and creative. She designed so many unique and personal touches, including our ceremony programs, welcome bags for our guests, a hand-painted photo booth backdrop, and the shoes I wore while getting ready,” the bride beamed.

The Proposal:
One of our favorite things about living in Tallahassee is being so close to the coast. John proposed during a walk on the beach after spending the day at Alligator Point, which is just a 40-minute trip from Tallahassee. Adding to the shock, some of our best friends were hiding in the trees nearby documenting the entire proposal! The surprises continued when we got back to Tallahassee, and John told me he had arranged for an intimate dinner with our parents who came to town to celebrate with us.
