I got inspiration pictures from my dress designer's Instagram. I wanted soft waves and soft glam. I actually had a poor experience with another company and decided to reach out to Femme Akoi Beauty Studio, and I am so glad I did!

I liked Femme Akoi because I could pick the artist from their page, which was a huge help! I went with Monica, and we had an amazing trial! She was so easy to speak with, and I felt very comfortable. I loved my makeup!

I wanted classic and simple but also bold. I followed Femme Akoi Beauty Studio on Instagram and saw the amazing job they had done. I wanted the hair and makeup to be perfect, but not too much. I wanted to dance and have a great time, so I wanted something to stay put and look great all night, and they did that!!

The team did a great job taking my ideas and bringing them to life. They were amazing and just did such a good job.

I don’t wear a ton of makeup, and I wanted to look like myself but fancier on the day of the wedding. For hair, I looked for loose, down styles.

Lana completed my trial and day-of services; she understood exactly what I wanted based on inspirational pictures and asked for my input the entire time. I also had 13 girls (myself included) who needed hair and makeup services on the day of the wedding. They did a great job scheduling everyone within our allotted prep time, and all of my ladies looked stunning!

My wedding hair inspiration combined boho and beachy vibes to match our overall wedding theme. My wedding dress had a high neck with a very low back, so I really wanted a hairstyle that highlighted the back of my dress, thus I went with a low bun. For makeup, I specifically requested a natural look, as I don’t typically wear a lot of makeup and wanted to feel comfortable yet beautiful and confident.

I researched Femme Akoi Beauty Studio a lot on Instagram to get a better idea of their style and felt that their work was very similar to what I was looking for. My stylist, Megan, made me feel so comfortable at my makeup trial and spent extra time with me, trying out different hairstyles and tailoring my makeup. She was so patient and detail-oriented while doing my hair and makeup. When I first met her at my hair and makeup trial she was just so personable and fun; it was a great experience. My wedding hair and makeup turned out better than I could have ever imagined; I felt so beautiful and confident the entire day.

On my wedding day, all the stylists were punctual, professional, efficient, and super outgoing! They did such an amazing job not only on me but on my six bridesmaids, mom, and grandmom as well. Everyone looked fabulous!

I have always been partial to buns, but I thought with my ballgown style dress, I would try Hollywood glam waves. And while they were gorgeous, the bun kept speaking to me.

I ended up choosing a low-textured bun with loose face framing and a dramatic hair piece with no regrets. I loved how inclusive Femme Akoi Beauty Studio’s portfolio was. This was very important since my bridal party had different complexions and hair textures. They master the art of the natural glam look, which was exactly what I wanted.

We hired Femme Akoi Beauty Studio because the majority of my bridesmaids are of Asian descent, and I liked their portfolio of artists able to do mono-lids. We thought their service was impeccable. I absolutely loved them from start to end.

I prefer to wear my hair down so I went with the beachy curls and a textured twist in the back. I added extensions for volume and length. My makeup was soft glam. I wanted to look elegant and feel beautiful. I enhanced my brown eyes with some voluminous lashes, and I also wanted some nice highlights. I chose the soft glam, but looking back on it I think I would've preferred more glam makeup with heavier contouring and more eye makeup. I think brides should be better educated on “soft/natural glam” vs “all-out glam.”

Femme Akoi Beauty Studio came highly rated. My hair and makeup stylist was Ayla, and she was so sweet and listened well to my requests. The other stylists were Vanessa and Vinette. They were both so nice, and I loved how my bridesmaids' and mother's hair and makeup turned out. Everyone looked so beautiful! They all knocked it out and got us all ready by the time we needed to be ready.

I picked a half-up and half-down hairstyle for my wedding because my dress was strapless. I didn’t want to feel too bare or uncomfortable. I opted for a hairstyle that felt natural to me.

I chose to work with Femme Akoi because they’re the best in Tampa Bay. My bridal group was extremely happy with the outcomes of their hair and makeup. All of the makeup artists were very outgoing and fun to work with!

Femme Akoi Beauty Studio came highly recommended on social media and Marry Me Tampa Bay. I was able to do my trial six months before the wedding. However, Teresa didn't bat an eye when I changed my hairstyle the morning of the wedding.
