When it came to searching for a florist, I realized many florists would actually have minimums that I wouldn’t be able to meet. We wouldn’t be needing any flowers for the ceremony, other than a bit of greenery for the aisle and two small arrangements at the front, because I wanted the coral reef to be the main focus, and we also wouldn’t need centerpieces for the reception because we had made our own. So I reached out to Marry Me Tampa Bay to ask if they could recommend any florists who would be able to meet our needs, and they put me in touch with Ellen at Brides N Blooms Designs, and I’m so glad they did because they were wonderful!
Once I began chatting with Ellen at Brides N Blooms, I immediately knew I would be using them for our wedding. She was so friendly and quick to respond to every single email even when I changed my mind multiple times on what exact flowers I wanted! A month before our wedding, I emailed her and completely changed the flowers and design of my bouquet, and it didn’t phase her one bit. I don’t know much at all about flowers, and I didn’t really think I had done a great job articulating what I was envisioning but on the day of my wedding, she arrived at my hotel with our bouquets and I immediately fell in love with them.
My bouquet had a gorgeous mix of succulents, white orchids, and calla lilies, and my bridesmaids’ bouquets were similar, each with one or two succulents amongst the flowers and greenery. I’m pretty sure Ellen at Brides N Blooms is a mind reader because these couldn’t have been more perfect. Even better, I saved the succulents after the wedding and planted them, so I have a beautiful, living reminder of my wedding day!
