Rustic, Navy Blue and Cream Tampa Destination Wedding | Cross Creek Ranch Wedding
Andrea and John’s destination Florida wedding focused on romance, with a simple, rustic theme.
“I lived in Detroit, Michigan at the time [of our wedding], but because we have family all over, we chose Florida for the wedding location,” the bride explained. “Our colors were navy blue, cream and some lighter sage green accents. We wanted everyone who traveled near and far to feel the love and romance!”
The couple, who recently relocated to Tampa, hosted an intimate, outdoor wedding.
“We’re pretty laid back. We were on the same page about getting married outdoors, having the backdrop as big beautiful trees, flowers and incredible landscaping,” Andrea shared.
During their Tampa wedding venue search, the pair had one clear winner, an all-inclusive rustic, barn, just minutes from the city.
“After visiting Cross Creek Ranch, nothing else compared. We decided the day we visited!” the bride gushed. “It is unique. You can glitz it up or dress it down; it can be anything. It was like a fairy tale!”

Looking back, one of Andrea’s most memorable moments was spending an intimate moment with her new husband.
“We enjoyed some quiet time to ourselves under the twinkling lights before the party got started,” the bride reminisced.
The Proposal:
I surprised my long-distance boyfriend, John, for his birthday, but he actually knew I was coming and surprised me with the ring!
What were the deciding factors for choosing your wedding venue?
Cross Creek Ranch is a “one stop shop” for any bride who wants to just enjoy their wedding. I loved that we only made payments to them, it made it so simple.
All of the staff were so inviting and organized, who could want anything more on their wedding day? They took care of all the little details the day of. The staff allows you to pick every little detail, making no wedding there look exactly the same! It was perfect!
Finally, the beauty of the grounds. Stunning! Cross Creek Ranch is unique. You can glitz it up or dress it down; it can be anything. It has such great raw potential.
How would you describe your theme?
The theme was rustic and simple. We wanted everyone who traveled near and far to feel the love and romance!
What were your colors?
Our colors were navy blue, cream and some lighter sage green accents. I found a bridesmaid dress that was in budget for my girls, and it was offered in three colors; navy was our favorite!
Which vendors that really exceeded your expectations and how?
All of the vendors were outstanding to work with. I have a sweet tooth, so I have to say Alessi Bakery made the most amazing cake and cupcakes I have ever eaten! They allowed us to try almost every option they had to offer and designed the details to exactly what we wanted.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay Brides?
Pick a few items and ideas that are most important to both of you, and hang onto them; let the other little stuff go.
Have fun, I mean you’re marrying your best friend!
