Rustic, Country Chic Purple and Blush Wedding | Cross Creek Ranch
What touched me the most about Krystal and Tylor’s rustic Tampa Bay wedding was that they didn’t just plan their own fairytale, they also allowed a family member to live out her wedding dreams too.
“Family and religion are very important to my husband and that is something we tried to incorporate in many ways,” the bride shared. “We chose our color scheme because of my sister, who is very special to both my husband and I. She is autistic and dreams of her own wedding one day, which is probably not in the stars. We made it one of our goals to make this special for her too.”
The Parrish couple held a hometown wedding with a rustic, country chic theme.
“My inspiration came from my venue which I instantly fell in love with upon touring the grounds. I wasn’t sure what I wanted when I started the search for venue, however walking through, I was flooded with ideas!” the bride gushed. “The Cross Creek Ranch grounds are gorgeous and enchanting with cute touches throughout the property! It was rustic yet elegant, with close attention to detail. From the staff to the decorations, everything exceeded our expectations!”

Looking back, some of the most memorable moments of the couple’s wedding day were also the most humorous.
“For my husband and I on a funny note, it was memorable that his mother was late, my husband had a bird poop on his suit prior to the ceremony (good luck, right?) and we couldn’t find my dad when it came time to walk me down the aisle,” the bride joked.
What were the deciding factors on choosing your venue?
When looking at venues we knew that we wanted an outdoor venue. Cross Creek Ranch prides themselves on customer service. We received a warm welcome, were offered bottles of water and our tour guide Diana was excellent. She was so excited about her job! What a pleasure is was to have her show us around! The grounds are gorgeous and enchanting with cute touches throughout the property!
Cross Creek Ranch is also an all-inclusive venue, which for my husband and I was a huge plus! We both work full-time, and at the time I was also going to school full-time and working an additional part-time job. All-inclusive was ideal for our lifestyle! They take the pressure off of the big day which allows you to enjoy every moment to the fullest!
The Proposal:
My husband proposed to me at the middle/ high school where we met. I had just gotten home from a mission trip to Brazil with my church, and he came to my house and convinced me to go out in spite of my exhaustion! We drove to Manatee School For the Arts, where he got down on one knee told me that he couldn’t imagine spending the rest of his life without me, and he asked me to share every moment of forever with him.
How would you describe your theme?
We chose to have a rustic, country chic themed wedding. My inspiration came from my venue which I instantly fell in love with upon touring the grounds. I wasn’t sure what I wanted when I started the search for venue, however walking through Cross Creek Ranch, I was flooded with ideas!
What were your colors and how did you choose them?
We chose our colors because of my sister. She is autistic and dreams of her own wedding one day, which is probably not in the stars. She was insistent that she wanted to wear pink. She didn’t care what shade, but she knew that she was going to be “a vision in pink”. I wanted her to be the only one in pink, so we decided on a purple ombre theme that faded into a blush color.
What elements of your wedding were the most important?
The elements of our wedding that I found to be most important were little personal things that I asked to be done. We wanted generation photos, and an area for loved ones that weren’t able to be there, our guest book was an old whiskey barrel that had to be moved to just the right location, we had strung photos over our cake table, we also wanted specific signage and our home made jam favors. It was all about the details!
What advice would you give to brides in the Tampa Bay area?
Don’t be afraid to try something different or unique as long as it makes you happy. Listen to what you want even though other people will try to sway your decisions. It’s about you and your husband, everything is secondary!
