Romantic White and Greenery Inspired Downtown Tampa Wedding | The Tampa Club

Intimate Wedding Special Banner

For couples looking to combine a traditional Tampa Bay wedding with modern elements, this downtown Tampa wedding styled shoot is filled with sophistication and elegance set 41 stories above the city.

“Traditional romance is at the forefront of this styled shoot. To complement a sophisticated downtown venue, we chose natural florals that feature plenty of greenery accented by ivory and gold accents,” Riley Gersch, owner and event designer of Elegant Affairs by Design explained. “Our traditional and sophisticated, greenery, ivory, and gold theme tied perfectly with The Tampa Club, giving the room a finished and more polished look.”

The wedding planner combined the opulent ballroom with a neutral and timeless color palette.

“I draw my styled shoot inspiration from my favorite places, HomeGoods and Pinterest, something I encourage all my couples to do. I've always been a big fan of the fresh, natural wedding palette combined with the classic, glamour look,” the wedding planner revealed. “Before I set foot in The Tampa Club, I had created a Pinterest board filled with lush florals in warm neutrals paired with lots of green. It was the perfect venue to bring my vision to life. An ornate ballroom featuring glamorous gold accents just says classic and glamour.”

Set atop one of the tallest buildings in downtown Tampa, with a two-story staircase, floor-to-ceiling windows, and showstopping chandelier, the soaring downtown views of the Tampa Club make it unique wedding venue located in the heart of the city.

“‘Bourbon and Views'came to mind after I toured The Tampa Club and could not get over downtown Tampa's amazing views that this venue offers. We wanted to include a sophisticated drink element and ultimately decided to set up a bourbon bar,” the planer shared.

Instead of the traditional round tables, Riley incorporated long reception tables, which create a focal point and add dimension to larger rooms. Luxury linens from Over the Top Rental Linens added texture and vibrancy.

“Overall, our goal was to showcase that a smaller wedding is an opportunity to create an extremely intimate and personalized experience. We chose to set up a feasting table which is a great option for small weddings with only close friends and family members in attendance,” the wedding planner advised. “The feasting table boasted tall, gold stands filled with elegant garden blossoms and fresh greenery. The linen added to our classic inspiration, ivory with a white underlay. The gold beaded glass chargers and gold silverware completed the look.”

Gold Chiavari chairs, lanterns, gold flatware, napkins, glass chargers, gold rim glassware, and a copper arch from Outside the Box Event Rentals completed the “traditional romance” design.

“Our rentals added that gold sparkle and touch of class to the ambiance.  It felt almost regal. I suggest details that will give a wedding unique and finished touch, such as a napkin fold like a rose,” AnnMarie, owner of Outside The Box added.

Providing stunning memories, Lifelong Photography Studios captured portraits with the city skyline while Breezin' Entertainment's lighting added a romantic ambiance.

To match the sophistication of the ornate wedding venue, Truly Forever Bridal styled the bride in a delicate lace appliqué wedding dress. The fitted bodice featured a revealing illusion lace back that extended into the cathedral length train. Femme Akoi Beauty Studios paired a flirty makeup look with a gradient ombre eyeshadow and lush lashes.
