Romantic Peach and Mint Green Floral Inspired Downtown St. Pete Wedding | St. Pete Shuffle Board Club

“T” and “S”‘s downtown St. Pete wedding featured a romantic floral inspired theme and a color palette of mint, peach, rose, and gold.

“Our wedding inspiration was floral romance. I really liked the lightness of the colors and thought they looked romantic,” the bride explained. “I looked through the Marry Me Tampa Bay website for ideas.”

The St. Pete couple knew that investing in local vendors was of utmost importance to them.

We love our city! We decided that if we were going to spend a lot of money on a wedding that we would put that money back into the city we love,” “T” shared. “Keep it local. You may feel you have to spend a lot of money on a wedding, but if you love your city, you can help it grow by putting your money back into it by hiring local vendors and purchasing local beers and liquors.”

Searching for a St. Pete wedding florist who understood the bride's vision and importance of having beautiful florals, “T” hired Cotton & Magnolia.

“I was very focused on the flowers for the wedding; they were one of the most important parts of the wedding decoration for me,” the bride shared. “I hired Cotton & Magnolia because of their organic, natural style. The owner, Elaina, has a beautiful style and completely understood what I was going for. She made my vision for the wedding happen. Every single arrangement she created was absolutely gorgeous and exactly what I asked for!”

To enhance the ambiance of their historic wedding venue, the couple hired Gabro Event Services for table rentals, bistro lighting and an air cooling unit to ensure their guests stayed comfortable on the dance floor. Keeping the party going, St. Pete wedding DJ Grant Hemond & Associates kept the guests dancing all night.

The bride incorporated unique elements from her heritage and focused on making sure her wedding party had an enjoyable time.

“As an Israeli-American from sephardic descent, I wanted to bring my culture into the wedding a bit. My henna artist did henna the night before the wedding for me and my bridesmaids. The artist brought a calming energy to my group that we were reminded of whenever we looked at the henna,” “T” shared. “Being mindful and present in the moment was important to me, because the day moves so fast.”

Looking back, the bride's most cherished memory occurred during the wedding ceremony.

“The most memorable moment for me was walking down the aisle with my parents. Seeing our wedding party and “S” standing there made my heart sing,” the bride reminisced. “Another moment I loved was the photo session during cocktail hour of just “S” and I. Our photographer asked us to face each other and take four deep breaths together as a married couple. That was wonderful! It made the happiness of the day sink in!”

What did you look for in a wedding florist?
I was looking for a florist who understood my vision and I related to. I was very focused on the flowers for the wedding; they were one of the most important parts of the wedding decoration for me.

I hired Cotton & Magnolia because of their organic, natural style. The owner, Elaina, has a beautiful style and completely understood what I was going for. She made my vision for the wedding happen. Every single arrangement she created was absolutely gorgeous and exactly what I asked for! She was communicative, and I trusted her.

How did you incorporate you and your spouse's personalities into the wedding?
When we first started dating we used to ask each other, “If you could be a pickle, what kind of pickle would you be?,” as a way to understand each other's mood. We had a pickle bar at the wedding, “S” wore a pickle lapel pin, and we even played a pickle song during the reception. Also, our cake was a Game of Thrones cake that we cut with a sword.

The Proposal:
We were staying at the Portafino Universal on site hotel. After a full day at the park, we headed out to go to dinner. “S” insisted we walk through a particular courtyard. He then got down on one knee and proposed. We both were so excited neither of us can remember what we said. Later I found out that “S” carried the ring around with him in the park all day and just couldn't find a good spot to propose!

What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Keep it local. You may feel you have to spend a lot of money on a wedding, but if you love your city, you can help it grow by putting your money back into it by hiring local vendors and purchasing local beers and liquors.
