Amanda and Anand's St. Petersburg wedding featured a romantic color palette of burgundy, navy blue and dusty grey.

“We wanted a fun and vibrant Hindu ceremony outdoors in a nature-filled setting, but also a classic, romantic intimate ceremony. I feel like we achieved this during both of our wedding days,” the bride explained.

The Tampa couple hosted a two day multi-cultural wedding, with the first day focusing on a vibrant traditional Hindu ceremony, followed by an intimate indoor ceremony celebrating of both of their backgrounds.

“The officiating of both ceremonies was pretty important to both of us. Since we had guests from different faiths, we wanted them to feel welcome and not out of place. That is why we made sure there was a lot of explanation during both ceremonies. The more you understand, the more you are accepting of something foreign to you,” Amanda explained.

While wedding videography wasn't initially in their budget, the bride and groom knew that they wanted to have their big day documented.

“Honestly, we were undecided about even having a videographer! But when we spoke with more couples they recommended we hire one or else we would completely regret it,” the bride explained. “When we looked more into Imagery Wedding Films work, we couldn't pass up the chance for them to capture our two days worth of events. They do quality work at an affordable price. That was important to us since we already had two days worth of expenses!”

Looking back, one of the bride's most memorable moments was the couple's first dance.

“We started out with a slow song and then broke out into a choreographed Latin routine. It was a complete surprise to everyone and we got a standing ovation!” Amanda reminisced.

The Proposal:
When it comes to theater or anything broadway, I am like a kid in a candy store. Ever since Anand and I started dating, he has only nurtured this love of mine. Whenever we leave a broadway show now, he's singing the show tunes right there next to me. Let's just say I've done a good job in converting a sports lovin', basketball playin', NFL Sunday kind of guy to an avid theater goer. So when Anand said he had bought tickets to a backstage tour of one of America's most elaborate movie palaces, The Tampa Theatre, it didn't really cross my mind that this would be where he would get down on one knee.

The day of the “tour” after lunch, we headed over to the theater where my family was already waiting inside (hidden). It was only a few seconds after we walked up on stage that the song Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran started to infiltrate the entire theater. At that moment, Anand took my hand and we started dancing, literally “under the light of a thousand stars.” The Tampa Theatre's ceiling is built to look like the night sky! At the end of the song (and after I had made his dress shirt sopping wet), he got down on one knee and popped the question. I was in awe at the thought and details he put into this moment and felt beyond lucky to have been the recipient of so much love.

How would you describe your theme?
We wanted a fun and vibrant Hindu ceremony; outdoors in a nature-filled setting, but also a classic, romantic intimate ceremony. I feel like we achieved both during both of our wedding days.

What were your colors?
Our reception venue was a little dark inside and resembles an old church, so we decided to go with more rich, romantic colors like burgundy, navy blue and dusty grey.

What did you look for in a wedding videographer?
Honestly, we were undecided about even having a videographer! But when we spoke with more couples they recommended we hire one or else we would completely regret it. When we looked more into Imagery Wedding Films work, we couldn't pass up the chance for them to capture our two days worth of events. They do quality work at an affordable price. That was important to us since we already had two days worth of expenses! It was a bonus that James had worked with our photographer before because there are so many things each of them want to capture and you don’t want them to get in each other's way.

What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
With so many options out there, it can be hard not to change your mind multiple times. Limit your Pinterest-ing to the beginning stages. It drove me (and all the people I was working with) crazy to keep seeing all the different ways you can set a table or all the ways you can pose for a picture. Pin ideas that you like at the start and stick with them.
