Clearwater Beach Destination Wedding – Hyatt Clearwater Beach Wedding
Leydi and Chris' destination wedding in Clearwater Beach, FL proved that a simple wedding can still be an elegant and chic wedding.
The New Jersey couple incorporated a wood ceremony arch adorned with white draping, lanterns and beautiful pastel pink wedding flower clusters.
The wedding reception continued the light pink theme with pastel centerpieces accompanied by light blue table numbers.
I absolutely loved the couple's light blue and gold wedding cake, decorated with different texture on each of its three layers.

What elements of your wedding were the most important?
The venue, food, music and photos.
What were the deciding factors for choosing your venue?
We chose Tampa Bay because of its beautiful beaches. We both wanted a beach wedding without the expense of going to the Caribbean. Chris and I are very partial to the Hyatt, and we fell in love with the Hyatt in Clearwater Beach. Their service was beyond my expectation.
What did you look for in your wedding photographer?
We wanted photos that would be timeless with soft tones. I loved Sophan's photos [of Sophan Theam Photography] and the colors that she was able to capture in photos. Also, meeting her reinforced that we love her work and would have a great relationship with her. Sophan was phenomenal; she delivered nothing but excellence.

The Proposal:
The proposal was the best surprise i could have ever imagined.
One Thursday afternoon, we met at our favorite coffee shop in the World Financial district in NYC. After grabbing coffee, we walked the Brooklyn Bridge (my favorite bridge in NY and where I thought he would propose) and ended up in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. Chris then took me to Peter Luger where we had an amazing dinner.
After dinner, we took the subway and PATH back to New Jersey. We made it to Jersey with two minutes to spare before the last train, and Chris started complaining that his stomach hurt, and he could not run for the train.
Needless to say, we missed the last train home. After a few minutes, I went to check up on him. At this moment, we are looking at the NYC skyline on a beautiful clear summer night. With his back to the city, he got on one knee and proposed.
At first I couldn't comprehend what was going on. It took me about two mins to realize what was going on.
A cop car near us started cheering once I finally said “Yes”, and I started crying.
But that wasn't the end of the proposal. After a few minutes of kissing and hugging, Chris informed me that we wouldn't be going home that night and that he had reserved a room for us at the Hyatt. He had contacted my boss and informed him that I would not be going to work the next day.
His final surprise came in a white envelope. He had gotten tickets to go to Ellis Island the next day.
The entire weekend I was on cloud nine. I couldn't believe all the details and time spent to make his proposal perfect.
How would you describe your theme?
Our theme was simple, chic and vintage. I choose simplicity because i like simple things. I am not big on bold patterns or designs.
What were your colors?
Ivory, gold, seaglass blue and light pink
What made your wedding unique?
The fact that it was a mini-vacation for our friends and family. We celebrated our wedding the entire weekend.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay Brides?
Don't stress the small details. Your day will be as you envision it, as long as you stay calm and understand that things may not go as planned.
