Taylor and Nick’s South Tampa wedding featured shades of ivory, champagne and taupe, rustic wood elements, and natural greenery befitting their historic venue setting.
“Our wedding incorporated many neutral colors, and we tried to combine bohemian and modern elements into our decor. We wanted it to be fun, yet timeless,” the bride shared. “All of our wedding colors we tried to keep neutral, with pops of color from the greenery. Our bridal party wore taupe, and the flowers were different shades of muted pinks.”
The North Carolina bride turned to Marry Me Tampa Bay for local resources and to find the area’s top wedding pros.
“We found the majority of our vendors through Marry Me Tampa Bay, specifically our photographers , our catering company, and rental company,” Taylor revealed. “Our wedding planner, Taylored Affairs, was also found through Marry Me Tampa Bay and her impact made a huge difference in the quality of our wedding!”
While planning from a distance, Taylor prioritized finding a local wedding planner who could assist with the process and creatively execute her vision. After several phone calls with different companies, she found the perfect match with Taylored Affairs.
“When looking for a wedding coordinator we were looking for someone who was passionate about weddings, organized, as well as knowledgeable about the wedding day planning process. Taylored Affairs had all of this and more! We had several consultations before we found Anna with Taylored Affairs, and once our consultation was over, I knew we found the right person,” Taylor gushed. “She was quick to reply and answer questions all throughout the process and never hesitated to assist even at late hours. Without her, our wedding would not have flowed and would have been incredibly stressful. Instead, it was fun and seamless, all thanks to Anna!”
The couple incorporated interactive elements for the 130 guests, including a black and white “Kadashaian” style luxury photo booth.
“We had a sushi bar with a sushi chef, as well as a photo booth from The Gala Photobooth, both making our wedding fun and unique!” the bride beamed. “We wanted an affordable photo booth that also gave a great experience for guests. I specifically wanted a black and white photo booth as well, and each guest was able to keep their photos or send them to their phone. The photos also doubled as guest favors and were a huge hit at our wedding! We used a photo guestbook, and Gala Photobooth sent me a gallery after as well of everyone’s photos. I would definitely recommend them to any couple planning their event!”
Taylor envisioned a reception space with romantic string lights suspended over warm wood tables and chairs, and relied on Gabro Event Services for their extensive and stylish inventory.
“Gabro Event Services supplied our indoor bistro lighting, curtains with lighting, chairs, guest tables, and a sweetheart farmhouse table. They were amazing and helpful every step of the way!” the bride gushed. “The indoor bistro lighting was very important to me and was uncommon for our venue. They sent employees out several times before our big day just to see how they could make my dreams come true. I would definitely recommend this company!”
A few key moments stood out most to Taylor, although she also opted for a comedic twist on a ‘first look’ with Nick which ended up being another favorite memory.
“Our most memorable moments were our handwritten vows, my father’s speech, and our sparkler send-off,” the bride reminisced. “One of Nick’s groomsmen, Thomas, also pretended to be the bride during a first look. Nick was under the impression we would be doing the first look, however, I knew I wanted him to see me first walking down the aisle. The ‘first look’ with Thomas was also captured on photo, which I love!”
