NOVA 535 Wedding – Modern St. Petersburg, FL Wedding
Haley and Andy met while playing poker at the Tampa Bay Downs' card room. Their friendship slowly evolved into a relationship and on their three-year anniversary, Andy proposed.
“It was at home, he said he had the ring in his pocket all day and just didn't know when to do it,” Haley shared. “I was surprised and very happy!”
Modern South Beach Style Downtown St. Pete Wedding – NOVA 535
Haley and Andy's modern St. Pete wedding reception was inspired by the bride's former Miami South Beach address.
“I just love the nightlife and wanted a South Beach hip, chic theme,” Haley explained.
To complement their theme, the couple searched for a unique, non-hotel St. Petersburg wedding reception venue.
“I found everything I could ever ask for at NOVA 535. I loved the brick walls and the upstairs looking down on the dance floor,” Haley gushed. “The VIP room was the cherry on top!”
Keeping with the stylish decor, the couple hosted a cocktail-style wedding reception over a traditional setting.
“Long dinners slow things down. We are party people and just wanted to celebrate the day!” the bride exclaimed. “We wanted everyone to get in the reception and start the party!”
To give a nod for their love of gambling, Haley and Andy placed a bet on the cake cutting.
“Andy and I had not talked about who should ‘wear' the cake if either of us should. So we did what any poker player would and played Rock, Paper, Scissors! He lost, as he always does to me, so I took full advantage and creamed his face w cake!” the bride shared.
