Jaclyn and Jacob's destination Clearwater Beach wedding featured blush, natural green and slate blue color palette. The Texas bride and groom focused on their venue, catering and music to make their Florida wedding unforgettable.
“We both have always dreamed of a beach wedding and Jacob often fishes/vacations in Siesta Key, so we knew Florida was our place to go! We absolutely loved Clearwater Beach and the beautiful white sand and blue water!” the bride gushed. “I did not want to go over the top with the beach theme, but knew I wanted soft, elegant colors and flowers to make the day feel romantic and soft.”

Searching for a Clearwater Beach wedding venue that was easily accessible to the airport for the couple's destination wedding, Jaclyn and Jacob looked for a location that could also offer their cocktail hour, ceremony and reception all in one place.
“At the Hilton Clearwater Beach we could have our ceremony on the beach, cocktail hour on the Flamingo Deck and reception on the Sandpiper Deck. They also reserved a room for us the next morning, so we could host a breakfast for our guests,” the bride explained. “Their service was out of this world! Courtney and her staff were beyond wonderful. The Hilton catering team went above and beyond. From the appetizers to the main courses, to the side dishes, I am still in awe of it all! Guests are still talking about how delicious and over the top it was!”
Looking back on their destination wedding weekend, the bride's most cherished memories included welcoming their guests at their beautiful beach venue and a special moment shared between her siblings during the ceremony.
“The most memorable moments were my guests arriving at the Hilton throughout the wedding and being able to welcome so many of them! Seeing how happy they were to attend a destination wedding in such a beautiful location made us feel so confident in our decision to marry in Clearwater Beach at the Hilton,” Jaclyn reminisced. “Also, having my two brothers walking me down the sandy aisle and seeing Jacob at the end. I have never been so happy in my life.”
The Proposal:
Jacob planned a 10-day European vacation to France and Spain. We were traveling to Spain for a wedding and decided to spend a couple days in Paris, France beforehand. After sightseeing in Paris all day, we ended our wonderful day sipping wine and sitting by the Eiffel Tower, taking in the true Paris experience. Jacob had asked a nearby couple to take our picture in front of the Eiffel Tower before the sun went down. In the middle of the picture, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Fairytale at its finest!
How would you describe your theme/wedding design inspiration?
Simple and elegant. I did not want to go over the top with the beach theme, but knew I wanted soft, elegant colors and flowers to make the day feel romantic and soft.
What were your colors?
Light blush, lots of white, natural green, and slate blue. I chose these colors because I wanted the theme to be classy, elegant, and soft, where the natural beauty of the beach could be the focus.
What did you look for in a wedding venue?
First and foremost, we looked for accessibility to the airport, as this was a destination wedding. We then looked at venues where we could get married, have our cocktail hour and have our reception right on the beach! We also looked at their reception menu.
We chose the Hilton Clearwater Beach for numerous reasons. We could have our ceremony on the beach, cocktail hour on the Flamingo Deck and reception on the Sandpiper Deck. Their food menu was out of this world! Guests are still talking about how delicious and over the top it was! They also reserved a room for us the next morning, so we could host a breakfast for our guests and provided amazing room rates for an extended period. The Hilton had a backup space for the reception at no extra charge in case of bad weather, which we did have to use, but only for the reception.
Their service was out of this world! Courtney (of the Hilton) and her staff were beyond wonderful. When it came to the day of the wedding, they were very patient with me as we made the difficult decision to move the reception inside to rain. Courtney did everything she could to get the ceremony and cocktail hour outside, which was a huge success! I truly cannot say enough amazing things about the Hilton and Courtney. The Hilton catering team went above and beyond. From the appetizers to the main courses, to the side dishes, I am still in awe of it all! I would recommend anyone and everyone have the Hilton Clearwater Beach as their wedding venue. We have so many guests that are now going to Clearwater Beach for their family vacation. They treated our guests amazing and we were so grateful for that. The most memorable moments were my guests arriving at the Hilton throughout the wedding and being able to welcome so many of them! Seeing how happy they were to attend a destination wedding in such a beautiful location made us feel so confident in our decision to marry in Clearwater Beach at the Hilton.
How did you incorporate you and your spouse's personalities into the wedding?
Jacob is from Cincinnati and loves Skyline Chili. Luckily, there is a Skyline down the road from the Hilton, and they allowed us to have it for our late-night snack!
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Get married at the Hilton Clearwater Beach. It is so unique with its ability to have the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all right on the beach. It is affordable, and the menu is out of this world. Guests can enjoy the new pools, beach and beach bar. The Hilton owns their beach so guests can enjoy their cocktails right on the beach after purchasing them from the beach bar.
