Treasure Island Beach Wedding | Sunset Beach House Wedding
Katelyn and Michael's Treasure Island beach wedding featured an elegant waterfront ceremony with soft tones of blue and gold to complement their ocean inspired theme.
The Bradenton couple kept their guests in mind when selecting a wedding location that could serve as a beach vacation, and include their adorable Goldendoodle, Rufus.
“We wanted our wedding to be local and for our family and friends to have the opportunity to visit us,” Katelyn explained. “Michael and I wanted to keep the focus on us, celebrating the marriage and each other being happy. Through that our guests could join in the celebration of our love for one another.
To assist with decisions and guide the their wedding day, the couple hired Tampa Bay wedding planner Special Moments Event Planning.
“We are a couple who did not have the time to do some of the research we would have liked to for vendors and pricing. Special Moments Event Planning helped guide us to the right vendors to meet our needs,” the bride explained. ‘Tammy has a vendor connection to meet every need and they are all the best of the best. She was able to keep us on track every step of the way. We were happy and stress free throughout the entire planning process!”

To keep her wedding day beauty look natural but glam, the bride hired hair and makeup artist Michele Renee The Studio.
“Michele Renee The Studio helped me stay true to who I am by doing a simple but beautiful hair and makeup service the day of my wedding. They listened to every request I had, and I felt like a bride!” Katelyn gushed.

Looking back, the bride's most memorable moments involved the time she shared with her new husband.
“Michael and I do not get much time together with him being in medical school. What was special about our wedding was that we did not leave each other’s side the entire night. We took time throughout the night to take a step back and take it all in. It was one of the best nights of our lives,” Katelyn reminisced.
What was your wedding day beauty inspiration?

How would you describe your theme?
We wanted to incorporate our elegant taste and our love of the ocean. Michael and I wanted to keep the focus on us, celebrating the marriage and each other being happy. Through that our guests could join in the celebration of our love for one another.
What were your colors?
White with some tones of blue and gold.
The Proposal:
Michael and I went on a walk with our dog Rufus the day after Christmas in Minnesota. We were walking through the snow, and I began to see rose petals. There was a ring of rose petals where Michael got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
What did you look for in a wedding photographer?
We wanted someone who was down to earth and would capture moments that we may miss or not think to capture.
Ashley of Grind & Press Photography did that for us. We felt comfortable to be ourselves. She was able to capture our special day perfectly.

We wanted a wedding DJ who we felt listened and considered our list of desired music.

What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Make sure you do your research and know your budget before you begin the planning process. Our wedding planner helped us stay on track with our budget.
Stay focused about celebrating the marriage. We truly enjoyed the planning, the weekend and the day of. We will be able to remember and cherish that day forever.
