Country Barn Tampa, Fl Wedding – Beige and Cream Vintage Wedding
Country weddings, when done right, can be just as elegant if not more so, than a ballroom wedding. Kaitlyn and Jake mixed elegant chandeliers with wheelbarrows and homemade pies for their country wedding near Tampa Bay.
Beige and Cream Vintage Country Barn Wedding
Kaitlyn and Jake, whose grandfather's were longtime friends, grew up in the cattle industry, so it was only fitting for the pair to hold a beige and cream vintage, country wedding.
“I like the antique, shabby chic, eclectic and elegant country style, and we both like the outdoor life, so we incorporated all of these styles into our wedding,” the bride explained.
What made this wedding even more special was the fact Kaitlyn chose her family's ranch for her Tampa Bay wedding venue.
“It was never a question for me on where to hold our wedding, because as a young girl I had always dreamed of getting married on my family's cattle ranch, the Southern Barn at Lonesome G Ranch,” Kaitlyn shared. “I was so blessed and fortunate to be able to use our family's venue.”
To transform her barn from a rustic space into an elegant vintage wedding venue, the bride hung chandeliers from the ceiling, used a long antique farm table and chairs for her head table and displayed her wedding cake on an antique dresser.
“Also, with the help of the Southern Barn Sisters, my guests took home jars of peach jam showcased in an old rustic vintage cupboard,” Kaitlyn said. “My family are also farmers of a Florida peach orchard, so the jam was a perfect wedding favor.”
One of the highlights of the country wedding reception decor was the bride's dessert table.
“The pie table was something I really wanted to showcase at our wedding,” Kaitlyn shared. “We used an antique farm table and pie sign to showcase both of our families' homemade heirloom pies: from Grandma's pecan pie, to Nana's apple pie and MiMi's coconut cream. They were a hit with guests. We also had slices of pie in decorative boxes and recipe cards for guests to take home.”
To capture all of the personal details Kaitlyn and Jake searched for a Tampa Bay wedding photographer who was also easy to communicate with.
“Jeff Mason Photography was everything I was looking for in a photographer: extreme quality and professionalism,” Kaitlyn explained. “I had met Jeff while he was taking engagement photos of another couple at the Southern Barn. He along with Stephanie Humphries could not have made the day more special with outstanding photos.”
Reminiscing on her wedding day, Kaitlyn said her most memorable moment was seeing her husband during their “first look.”
