Coral Reef Ceremonies: All wedding ceremonies are held in the breathtaking coral reef room
- Room Rentals are 4 1/2 hours, inclusive of the Wedding Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception
The Cocktail Hour:
The cocktail hour includes a special self-guided tour of the aquarium.
All menu prices are subject to 22% taxable administrative fee and 7.5% sales tax. Service staff included for (4 ½) Hours – $35.00 per staff member per hour apply for additional service time.
Choice of (1) Display:
Farmer’s Market Fresh and Marinated Vegetables, Assorted Crackers, and Flatbreads, with a Spring Herb Dip
Florida Fruit Sunburst Chef’s Selection of Seasonal and Local Fruits, with a Raspberry Yogurt Dip

The Reception:
Reception spaces include three breathtaking options.
For accommodations for over 150 guests, please reach out to an Events Representative. An additional hour may be added to the reception for $400.
Rooftop Terrace: Up to 150 guests
First Floor Lobby: Up to 150 guests
Coral Reef: Up to 80 guests
The Food & Drink:
Both Plated Dinner, Buffet Options, and Action Stations are available.
In-house catering personnel must dispense all beverages. Bartenders are staffed one (1) per 100 guests. A $125 per bartender fee will apply for a (4 ½) hour service. Additional service time will be charged at $35.00 per bartender per hour.

Emerald and Gold Downtown Tampa Wedding | The Florida Aquarium
We wanted something unique for our wedding venue where people could enjoy the venue itself just as much as the party. I'm a science teacher, so an aquarium just made sense. We looked through a couple of aquariums in Florida, but the Florida Aquarium had the best location, in addition to a stingray touch tank and a penguin encounter where penguins got to meet the guests. We were very happy with the Florida Aquarium. They were always very responsive with their communication, were accommodating with the grand ideas we had in mind, and the chef worked with us to create a menu that we were very happy with. The venue provides such a unique experience for a wedding.

We wanted something beachy and fun that would allow for the ceremony and reception to be in one place and accommodate more than 100 people.
We were initially thinking of the beach, but having a wedding outside in Florida can be a gamble. The Florida Aquarium was the perfect solution for the beach vibes, a/c, and a fully immersive guest experience. Our guests had a self-guided tour of the aquarium during the cocktail hour, and that really elevated everyone's night. The coordinators at the Aquarium were amazing to work with. They answered all of our questions in a timely manner and were able to accommodate some last-minute requests. I could not have asked for better people to work with; they really went above and beyond for us!
Elegant Blue Downtown Tampa Wedding | The Florida Aquarium
Our main priority was to create a unique experience for our guests, so the aquarium was the perfect setting. It combined the perfect amount of interesting and elegant between the marine life and the beautiful rooms they have.
We used four different locations in the aquarium and took our guests through a true journey of fun: ceremony – shark room, cocktail hour – balcony and touring the aquarium, dinner – banquet room, dancing – rooftop. The rooftop was our favorite location of the rooftop. We wanted a lounge feel, so we brought in light-up furniture, a dance floor, and the most amazing band that had us dancing all night. We used a lot of blues in our decor to match the blues of the aquarium, which worked great because blue is both of our favorite colors.
Timeless, Green and Black Downtown Tampa Wedding | The Florida Aquarium
We wanted something indoors with everything in one location, with catering and rentals. We also wanted something that would be memorable for our guests. Jake picked the venue. I wanted him to be involved since it was his day too.
The Florida Aquarium was a memorable venue that all our guests loved. The bubble curtain during the first kiss resulted in the most amazing photos. Everyone loved it and still talks about it! It had everything in one location, with catering and rentals included. We are looking forward to visiting on our anniversary in the years to come!
